Introducing New Index in Forest Roads Pavement Management System

چکیده
Forest road pavement needs an evaluation methodology based on a comprehensive assessment of conditions. This research was conducted to evaluate the performance method for rating surface condition forest roads and eventually adapt situation prevailing in network. The selected as basis this experiment index (PCI) developed by U.S. Army Corps Engineers urban roads. In addition, unpaved (URCI) that has good used comparison. A 53 km were containing most influential factors variability Eventually, 201 segments delineated between 150–300 m length. Within given segments, sample plots set 20 length consecutively. It concluded panel scores distress unit section differed from (FRPCI), URCI, PCI. Linear regression derive equations URCI PCI determine effective FRPCI parameters provide numerical within network, where 0 worlds are worst possible condition, 100 is best best. analysis showed model with 0.77 correlation total first time study range 7.8 96.3, different ratings (0.85–45 1.2–53). helps managers maintenance, harvesting, planning use information.

Considering a New Sample Unit Definition for Pavement Condition Index
One of the main components of pavement management system (PMS) is pavement evaluation. Several indices have been defined for the evaluation of existing pavement. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is a common index used for pavement evaluation. In order to calculate PCI, a significant volume of condition data -based on distress surveying- is required. The objective of this research is to reduce...
متن کاملConcrete Block Pavement for Low Volume Roads
Concrete block pavement (CBP) is a durable pavement for carrying light as well as heavy loads, and it is being used widely for construction of city streets, parking places, gas stations, container stacking yards, residential areas and low volume roads. This paper presents the findings of a laboratory investigation on structural behaviour of CBP. Plate load and Accelerated Pavement tests were ca...

متن کاملdetermination of culverts diameter in forest roads
construction of forest roads disorders the natural trend of water movement. it is vital to make ditch and cross line drainage culvert to prevent the area from being destroyed and conduct the water of streems and vallies. determination of culvert diameters depends on the information of area discharge, physiographic characteristic, vegetation cover and site land use. in order to determine the amo...
متن کاملImpact of traffic characteristics on forest roads due to forest management
Traffic load and transported quantity due to forest management were analysed on the forest roads in the forest district Dragatu{, SE Slovenia. On the basis of timber gravitating to particular sections, the traffic load and transported quantity were calculated for each of seven forest road sections. The cumulative traffic load is the highest on the section connected to the public road and the lo...
